Steel Security Doors

High-performance, made-to-measure steel doors. Expertly supplied and installed for the commercial, industrial, and education sectors.

What Is a Steel Security Door?

A steel security door is a complete doorset — leaf, frame, locking and hardware — engineered as one system to resist forced entry. Unlike a standard personnel door, a security doorset combines heavy-gauge Magnelis steel, a reinforced frame, multi-point locking options and dog-bolted hinges, so the door resists prying, cutting and impact attempts as a whole. Entrad supplies and fits made-to-measure steel security doorsets, CE marked to EN 14351-1, across the UK.

Bespoke Steel Door Solutions

Supplied and fitted to your exact specifications.

General Purpose Steel Doors

Everyday steel personnel doors for factories, warehouses, schools and retail units. 1.2mm Magnelis leaf, insulated core (U-value 1.6 W/m²K) and a 7-year finish warranty — dependable daily access with real security behind it.

High Security Steel Doors

For high-risk and repeat-attack locations. Reinforced frames, anti-jemmy detailing, multi-point locking and dog-bolted hinges deliver serious resistance to crowbar, cutting and impact attack.

Louvered Doors

Ventilated security for plant rooms, substations and bin stores. Heavy 2.0mm steel construction with louvre blades giving approximately 50% free airflow — constant ventilation without a weak point.

How to Choose the Right Steel Door

  1. 1 Assess the risk. Daily access with normal risk? A general purpose steel personnel door covers it. Out-of-hours, high-value or previously attacked site? Step up to a high security doorset.
  2. 2 Check ventilation needs. Plant rooms, substations, boiler rooms and bin stores need constant airflow — choose a louvred steel door (approx. 50% free air).
  3. 3 Check compliance. On an escape route, the door needs panic hardware to BS EN 1125 or BS EN 179 — see our emergency exit doors. On a protected route or compartment line, ask us about E60 fire-rated steel doorsets.

Not sure? Send us your door schedule or book a free site survey — we’ll specify the right doorset for each opening.

Steel Security Door FAQs

Are steel doors more secure than composite or timber doors?

For commercial and industrial use, yes. A steel doorset resists impact, cutting and prying far beyond timber or composite doors because the leaf, reinforced frame and dog-bolted hinges work as one engineered system. That’s why steel is the standard choice for warehouses, schools, plant rooms and communal entrances.

Can steel security doors be fire rated?

Yes. Alongside our standard range we supply and fit fire-rated steel doorsets certified to E60 (60 minutes’ integrity) under EN 16034 — tell us if the door sits on a protected escape route or compartment wall and we’ll specify accordingly.

What sizes are available?

Every doorset is made to measure, in single and double leaf configurations, with over-panels, vision panels and louvre panels available. Our site survey confirms the exact structural opening before manufacture.

How long does it take from order to installation?

Doorsets are made to measure, so lead times are confirmed at quotation. Installation is carried out by our own fitting teams, from single-door replacements to full multi-door schedules.

Do steel doors rust?

Our doorsets are formed from Magnelis-coated steel, which offers corrosion resistance significantly better than standard galvanised finishes, then powder coated in any standard RAL or BS 4800 colour with a 7-year finish warranty in normal (C3, non-marine) environments.
