Louvred Steel Doors

Secure, ventilated steel doors for plant rooms, substations, and block management. Expertly supplied and installed for asset managers and contractors.

Our louvred doorsets are built heavier than our standard doors — 2.0mm steel across the leaf, frame and louvre blades — with a blade profile giving approximately 50% free air area. That means constant ventilation for plant and electrical equipment without creating a weak point in your security line.

A secure, ventilated louvered steel door installed on a utility room, designed for airflow and high security.

Maximum Ventilation, Uncompromising Security

When your building infrastructure requires continuous airflow, standard steel doors won’t work. Entrad’s louvred steel doors are the perfect solution for plant rooms, boiler houses, server rooms, and bin stores, offering essential ventilation without sacrificing physical security.

We work closely with landlords, block managers, and school administrators to supply and fit made-to-measure louvred doors. Designed to keep out harsh weather, pests, and unauthorised personnel, our doors ensure your critical machinery and utility areas remain safe, secure, and fully operational.

Engineered for Airflow & Protection

Custom Airflow Options

Choose from customisable louvre panel configurations—including upper, lower, or full-length panels—perfectly tailored to meet the specific free-air requirements of your internal machinery or HVAC systems.

Weather & Pest Resistance

Designed to provide optimum protection from wind and water. The precisely angled steel slats repel rainwater, keeping your plant rooms and utility enclosures dry, clean, and well-ventilated.

Heavy-Duty Security

Supplied with robust 1.5mm Magnelis steel frames, advanced locking systems, and Class 14 stainless steel hinges with 15mm security bolts to deter vandalism and withstand forced entry attempts.

Bespoke Powder Coating

Available in a vast range of standard BS and RAL colours. Our highly durable external polyester powder coating ensures your doors blend seamlessly into schools, residential blocks, or industrial estates.

Where Louvred Steel Doors Are Used

Plant room doors

Constant airflow for pumps, AHUs and switchgear, with the room locked behind heavy-gauge steel. Louvre positions are specified to suit your ventilation calculations.

Substation doors

Secure, ventilated access for electrical substations and switch rooms, with multi-lock options and Grade 3 furniture for authorised-only entry.

Bin store doors

Ventilated bin store and refuse room doorsets that control odour build-up while resisting vandalism and unauthorised access — a common requirement for residential blocks and managed sites.

Boiler room doors

Combustion air supply for boiler and plant spaces, delivered through the doorset itself where wall vents aren’t practical.

Sizes & Configurations

Louvred doorsets are made to measure — single doors up to approximately 1350mm × 2800mm structural opening, and double doorsets up to approximately 2650mm × 2800mm. Full-height or part-louvre configurations are available on both.

Louvred Steel Door FAQs

What is a louvred door used for?

Ventilating spaces that must stay locked: plant rooms, electrical substations, switch rooms, bin stores and boiler rooms. The louvre blades allow constant airflow while the steel doorset keeps the space secure.

How much airflow does a louvred steel door provide?

Our louvre blade profile provides approximately 50% free air area across the louvred section — sufficient for most plant and electrical ventilation requirements. If your M&E consultant has specified a required free area, we’ll configure the louvre panel to suit.

Are louvred doors secure?

Yes. Our louvred doorsets use 2.0mm steel for the leaf, frame and blades — heavier than a standard doorset — with Class 14 hinges, Grade 3 (BS EN 1906) furniture and multi-lock options.

Can I have a part-louvred door?

Yes — louvre panels can be full-height or partial, on single or double doorsets, positioned to match your airflow requirements.
