Standards & Compliance
Every doorset we supply is built and certified against recognised European and British standards — and we’d rather explain exactly what those standards mean than hide behind a wall of logos. Here’s what stands behind an Entrad door.
Product Certification
Every doorset we supply carries these certifications as standard.
CE Marking to EN 14351-1
The complete external doorset — leaf, frame and hardware — meets the European product standard for external pedestrian doorsets. Applies to every doorset we supply.
U-value 1.6 W/m²K
Insulated doorset thermal performance, relevant to Building Regulations Part L.
7-Year Finish Warranty
Polyester powder coat in any standard RAL or BS 4800 colour, warranted for 7 years in normal (C3, non-marine) environments.
Hardware Standards
BS EN 1125
Panic exit devices — horizontal push bars for public buildings where occupants may not know the exits.
BS EN 179
Emergency exit devices — push pads and levers for premises whose occupants are familiar with the building.
BS EN 1935 (Class 14)
Hinges tested to the highest grade for heavy, high-frequency doors, fitted with security bolts.
BS EN 1906 (Grade 3)
Lever furniture tested for heavy-duty use.
A Note on Security Ratings
You may see LPS 1175 security ratings (SR1–SR4) referenced in specifications. Our doorsets are not currently LPS 1175 certificated — they are heavy-gauge, attack-resistant doorsets, CE marked to EN 14351-1, and we say so plainly. If your insurer or project specification mandates a certificated LPS rating for a particular opening, tell us at enquiry and we’ll advise on the right route rather than sell you the wrong door.

FAQs
What does CE marking mean on a steel door?
It certifies the complete doorset — not just the leaf — against EN 14351-1, the European product standard for external pedestrian doorsets, covering characteristics like weather resistance, operation and durability.
Do you hold LPS 1175 certification?
Not currently — and we’d rather tell you that than imply otherwise. If your insurer or specification requires a certificated LPS 1175 rating, we’ll advise on the right route for that opening.
Discuss your next security project with our team.
